To be an ideal candidate, you should have at least two years of experience working in a modern medical facility in an in-patient bedside nursing position. You should also be fluent in written and spoken English and have completed an internationally recognized education program.
Step 1: Complete the NCLEX RN Exam
If you are an international nurse or international nursing student looking for a registered nurse position in the USA, your top priority is to pass the NCLEX RN exam. This is a mandatory nurse licensing exam that ensures your skills and experience meet the requirements of U.S. hospitals. NCLEX exams are available at test centers around the world. You will need to pass the NCLEX RN exam before you can start working as a registered nurse in the U.S.
